Trance Gone Wild

If you've been following us since our inception, you probably think we love nothing but house bangers and full-fledged dub. That's not exactly true. Somewhere along the line (probably when Above & Beyond somehow played a small local club) trance started to grow on me. It's undoubtedly the most relaxing, cerebral, and cohesive form of electronic. Put simply, its not divisive. It bring people together and doesn't attempt "to be cool". If you're a trance head you already know what I mean, if you think trance is just a bunch of female vocals, shimmery synths, beats that don't "drop hard-as-fuck", hmmm, well, give it a shot. I think you'll be surprised by the creativity and power of trance artist these days.

But alright, enough bullshit, here's the music.

"Rebound" Maybe you've heard it on the radio, or one of Armin's sets, or one of the thousand other places this song has been played. And with good effing reason, it's impossible to hate, and the most versatile trance song I've heard in a while. Hats off to Mat Zo and Arty

The original was by Armin Van Buuren, but I gotta say, I'm far more addicted to Avicii's take.

Nic Chagall's remix of Aruna and Marc Etesons hit from last year, "Let Go", along with the original version.

This whole post is seeming to be about Arty & Mat Zo...

Gareth Emery

It's been all over XM's dance channels, and I can't ever seem to turn it off. Gareth Emery ftw.

Heard this live over a year ago. Shout out to Kenneth Thomas, local progressive DJ to the Detroit area. Save the Robot's mix of his song Drive as well as "Ghost in the Machine" (google it, couldn't find a solid link) are both keepers

Okay, well at avg. 6 minutes a song, that should suffice you for a while.  Probably won't be too many trance updates, seems like the good stuff comes in "troves" as opposed to a constant stream.
