Xmas Eve

Swedish House Mafia

It's been a bit quiet here at Litany for most of December, save a few large album-like releases from Knife Party and Skrillex, so we figured for the holiday, you need a few new tunes.

Mord Fustang has been quiet recently too it seems, but his funky laid back style is back in new song "We Are Now Connected".
Mord Fustang - We Are Now Connected by Plasmapool

Cazette's strangely named remix of David Guetta's "Titanium" is sickk.
David Guetta Feat Sia - Titanium (Cazette´s Ant Seeking Hamster Mix) by Best Dubstep

More Knife Party...only this one's mashed up with SHM's track as well.  It goes by Antidote.  It has a really raunchy and brutal video out (someone managed to not be taken off Youtube), thats fairly entertaining.  Techno, Strip Clubs and Violence mesh pretty well.

Bangarang EP

Skrillex just dropped a new EP just in time for xmas.  Many of the songs are just official or reworked versions of past releases, but they are all pretty stellar.  He posted the following on his twitter:

"happy holidays just like I promised.... just like i always say, go pirate it if you don't have money..i just want you to have it... or you can buy it here..either way I'll love you http://www.beatport.com/release/bangarang-ep/851105
 -skrillex"

The EP is huge.  No lesser words to describe it.  Here's a run down track by track:
1. Right In has been his opening song for most festivals over the summer, and a song he's been trying to keep pretty under wraps.

2. Bangarang, the title track of the album, is quite tried and true Skrillex, some light Sirah vocals, in-your-face-talking-bass and what not.  Only difference is, its a Moombah beat.  The two styles blend pretty flawlessly for a bumpin' track.

3. The third track, Breakin' A Sweat, is the collab track for the Regeneration project, he did with the doors.  Many of you have probably heard it, though this version features some tweaks, a spoken verse in the middle breakdown.  The doors vocal samples are kind of cheesy, but other than that, its a solid track.

4. Bangarang EP also includes his Electro-House banger collab with Wolfgang: Devil's Den.  It dispels some of the hate against Sonny going around that he only does same sounding dub.  Well he also does hard hitting electro.  Chaotic, and awesome.

5. The 5th track is a huge collab between Kill The Noise, whose recent LP is sick, and 12th Planet, a bud of Sonny's and great DJ on his own right.  The track's called Right On Time.

6. Another reworked and finalized track, Kyoto ft. Sirah (weeknds anyone?), is a "dubstep" track, with a strange 117bpm, and many of you will recognize it as the original "Ruffneck Bass" before More Monsters and Sprites EP came out.

7.  The final track leaked in an early edit form which many called "Breathe", and featured some added vocals by Krewella.  The real version is called Summit, and features the soothing vocals of Ellie Goulding (lights anyone?).

On a whole, its easy to see Skrillex has matured a bit on this EP, and put out a more versatile, appealing sound than the ultra-heavy dub rut he was stuck in for a while there.

And Skrilly said it himself, he doesn't care if you pirate it, so no excuses, go get it.

100% No Modern Talking

Knife Party, Rob Swire (of Pendulum)'s side project goes pretty hard.  A new EP of theirs is available for free from their website: http://www.knifeparty.com/.  It's got the full version of Internet Friends, as well as full versions of Fire Hive (best song off the EP in my opinion) and Tourniquet.  The only track I hadn't heard of at all is "Destroy Them With Lazers".  None really disappoint...

DO IT LIVE!

So I'm sitting here, thinking back on a deadmau5 show I went to about a month ago, and it occured to me, I didn't know where the sample he mashed up and morphed into Some Chords. Sounded familiar, but just couldn't place it. Well a quick youtube search turned it, and some new found respect for Joel Zimmerman up. A Bill O'Reilly sample? Its genius, Bill is such a twat, and this clip is hilarious.

Top 5 - November

1. Anticipate (Netsky Remix) - Skream ft. Sam Frank (Drum & Bass)
Skream Ft. Sam Frank - Anticipate (Netsky Remix) by Jamie McCartney
It seems like everyone is making the screechy, heavy, chaotic dubstep these days.  The simple and uplifting is still left to the masters, like Skream.

2. Kill The Noise (Dillon Francis Remix) - Kill The Noise ( Experimental/Moombahton)
Kill The Noise - Kill The Noise (Dillon Francis Remix) by DILLONFRANCIS

Kill The Noise is yet again the latest on Skrillex's label OWLSA to put out a massive album.  Only 10 songs long, which atleast 4 of which are remixes, but the album, "Kill Kill Kill" is quite good regardless.  Pretty heavy, even when staying at a house beat, so be prepared

3. Internet Friends (Original Mix) - Knife Party (Electro-House)
Knife Party - Internet Friends by New Hot Stuff
You blocked me on Facebook...and now you're going to die.

4. Dying (Original Mix) - Kill The Noise - (Dubstep)
Kill The Noise feat Ultraviolet Sound & Emily Hudson - Dying by i-heart-bass
Also another huge track off "Kill Kill Kill", with the lovely addition of female vocals from Emily Hudson.

5. Shave It (501 Remix) - Zedd (Dubstep)
Zedd - Shave It (501 Remix) by 1ReySon
Shave It was huge, and the Aftershave remixes were dope as well.  501's remains my favorite.  Wow 4/5 top songs this month were OWSLA, feelin' like a fanboy right now : /

Why Can't the Mothership Tour come to Michigan?

holy $h!t
So in my boredom, I was looking up videos of concerts, and came across one from Skrillex's current Mothership Tour. His stage is essentially the dubstep version of deadmau5's with a cool twist. Skrillex wears a full body motion suit (that strangely doesn't look much different than his normal apparel), which controls a variety of robots or zombies on the screen behind him. It's pretty damn cool....go youtube it, but here's a quick picture of it, as well as one of his unreleased tracks, which I'm really happy to say he sings on once again. That androgynous nasally "is it a guy or a girl?" voice gets me every time

Shave it Remixes & Other OWSLA Releases

Skream is the man

So whether or not you're a fan of Skrillex, you have to respect what he's being doing with his indie label, OWLSA.  They just put out some cool remixes of Zedd's electro-house banger "Shave It".  Remixers include Kaskade, and a dubstep mix by 501.

Zedd - Shave It (Kaskade Remix) by 1ReySon

Zedd - Shave It (501 Remix) by 1ReySon

Also released today was a song Skream did on OWLSA, entitled "Anticipate".  Skream was one of the original dubsteppers, and he continues to prove that sometimes less is more.  This song so subtle, and so good.  Netsky provides a nice DnB mix thats a bit more uptempo.  Both are sick.

Quick Look @ Dillon Francis

Who is Dillon Francis and what does he do?

Well, Dillon Francis is a sort of a up-and-comer on the EDM scene, hailing from LA, and he does Moombah.  And he does it real well.  He seems like he should be a protege of Skrillex, seeing as how he's one of the only artists to be using those screechy and talking-bass sort of sounds as well as Sonny Moore himself.  The only difference, he sticks mostly to Moombahton and that funky 108-112 BPM range.  It's rad, and blowing up fast.  Mark my words, Moombah is the new Dubstep, and Dillon Francis is the new Skrillex.

Steve Aoki has a new track out ft. Rivers Cuomo of Weezer. It's pretty good....this versions better:

Top 5 - October

So once again, I fail to get this up before the month's end, but here's what you shoulda been listening to in our glorious 10th month of the year.

1. I.D.G.A.F.O.S - Dillon Francis (Moombahton)
Dillon Francis - I.D.G.A.F.O.S. by DILLONFRANCIS
Moombah continues to rise, and evolve, as Dillon Francis uses some similar sounds to that of dubstep.  Lo and behold, everyone loves it.

2. Fresh Scream - Al Bizzare - (Electro House)
Al Bizzare - Fresh Scream (Original Mix) by Al Bizzare (Official)
This sound kinda sounds like 1/2 Feed Me, 1/2 deadmau5 and a pinch of Skrillex.  That might be a little bit of an exaggeration as such a collaboration would be awesome, but I definitely hear a bit of each in it.

3. Meanwhile, In the Future - KOAN Sound (Experimental/Dubstep)
Meanwhile, In The Future by KOAN Sound
Newcomers KOAN Sound dropped an EP, every track of which is catchy.  Some are a bit more minimal and experimental, some go hard.  All in sound, their sound is fresh and needed.

4. Crush On You (KillSonik Remix) - Nero
Nero - Crush On You (KillSonik Remix) by TeeGeetal
This song got remixed to hell this month, Knife Party, Brodinski, and KillSonik's remixes all stand out, but I gotta give it to KillSonik as the most useful versatile mix.

5. Kill Everybody (KOAN Sound Remix) - Skrillex
Skrillex - Kill Everybody (KOAN Sound Remix) by KOAN Sound
KOAN Sound has been killing it enough to merit a double capture of the Top 5, this time with their remix of Skrillex's "Kill Everybody"

KOAN Sound kills it

So KOAN Sound's first release under Skrillex's label OWSLA, Funk Blaster EP, dropped today and is pretty damn fresh.  They shy away from the super screechy dubstep noises, as well as the typical 70BPM, opting instead for a lot of low register noises, at around 100BPM.  Check it out, pretty catchy.

Kaskade's Fire & Ice + More

So Kaskade's newest album "Fire & Ice" comes out on Tuesday the 25th of October, but for whatever awesome reason, its available right now, a day early on iTunes. I haven't had a chance to fully listen through all the tracks, but the most party oriented track, is probably his track with Skrillex entitled "Lick it"

Kaskade & Skrillex - Lick It (Original Mix) by yobbs

And the duo that seems to have been pretty recently just came out with two new huge dub tracks, one with the Reggaeton vocals of Mavado.

Zeds Dead & The Killabits - Bassmentality by thekillabits

Zeds Dead - Undah Yuh Skirt (FULL STUDIO VERSION) by DubstepMusicUpload

And lastly Bassnectar mixes up his oldie song "Heads Up" (which was incidentally one of the first tracks to get me into the genre). Its nasty.

Enjoy dudes.

Deadmau5 Redeems

The Mau5 himself, Joel Zimmerman

brainsplosion!!!!

I've seen Deadmau5 3 times now. The first time was at the Fillmore Theatre in Detroit, and it was awesome. The 2nd was at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center and it sucked. Last night, I caught his 2nd show of two at yet again, the Fillmore. Once again, it was awesome. Funkagenda opened, and was super sick, though I thought Excision was going to be there.

Here are some videos for your watching pleasure:

More Knife Party & Skrillex

So in the last few weeks Knife Party has exploded everywhere.  Knife Party is the side project of Pendulum, you know...the Island, and Rob Swire (from Ghosts N Stuff).  They pretty much do dubstep, and electro house, and absolutely kill every second of it.  So here's two new songs from them:

Another 'Crush On You' remix that gives the Killsonik version a run:
Nero - 'Crush' (Knife Party Remix) by pakistar
And this track featuring Skrillex is pretty golden too...

Finally, a track from Al Bizarre thats just catchy.

Top 5 - September

1. 100% In The Bitch - Porter Robinson (Moombah)
Porter Robinson - 100% In The Bitch by Porter Robinson
Porters entire new album is sick, but I was not expecting some Moombahton tracks.  Speaking form experience, they go over really well at parties, especially when you mash it up with Downlink's remix.  People are all "whaa, computer talkin version?!?", but that might just be a byproduct of absurd intoxication.

2. Turn Me On - Subscape (Dubstep)
Subscape - Turn Me On by Subscape
I don't even know how to describe why I like this song so much.  It's not overt screechy "talking" bass that Skrill is a fan of.  It's just textbook.

3. Mr. Brown - Koan Sound (Dubstep)
Mr. Brown by KOAN Sound
When its building up, people are always like "whats this song?", and I have to wait for it to drop for them to really appreciate it first.  So bossy.

4. Electric Dream (Charlie Darker Remix) - Mord Fustang (Experimental Dub)
The Electric Dream - Mord Fustang (Charlie Darker Remix) by Charlie Darker
Mord has such a unique, candy coated sound.  The fact that he can even make dubstep out of those noises is sick.  I don't know who Charlie Darker is, but his remix of Mord's "Electric Dream" is perfect.  Goes hard without losing its sweet flavor.

5. Vandalism - Porter Robinson (Electro-House)
Porter Robinson - Vandalism (feat. Amba Shepherd) by Porter Robinson
This song has such widely huge appeal.  Those fans of dubstep can appreciate it for a great song, but its versatile enough to play for a crowd that has never heard of the song (or Porter for that matter) and they'll dig it.  Sexy girl singing with a great beat.  Props to PR.

Till next month.

Break from Nothingness

if this isn't self explanatory...I dont know what is

Subscape's remix of "Flood of Emotions", I have to admit, might not be as good as this original song:

Subscape - Turn Me On by Subscape

And you've probably heard Zedd's remix of "Save the World" by Swedish House Mafia.  Knife Party brings a remix for those of you wishing there was a grimey-er mix out there.
Save the World (Knife Party Remix) by Fresh On Campus

To me, Excision has been a bit dormant lately.  But when you see he's teamed up with Downlink, it usually means good things.  This is no exception:

Gemini & Moombah

Gemini put out a few hits this past Spring, with "Blue" and "Stronger", and now his "Graduation" EP is coming out, and the womp keeps coming.  Once a full link is available, we'll put it up.

Gemini - Vision by Gemini

Gemini - Graduation by NOiSEiT

Aside from dubstep, I've been hearing an influx of Moombahton, and it's awesome.  Here are some to get your started from Munchi, Alvin Risk, and Tittsworth:

Datsik - Firepower (Munchi Moombahcore Rmx) by Munchi

Hope is much more mellow and less "party-esque", but the simplicity is addicting.

Munchi - Hope by Munchi

Alvin Risk is one of the first 3 DJs signed to Skrillex's OWSLA record label, which just released Porter Robinson's first full length album.  Alvin Risk's remix of "Diminishing Returns" is a huge dubstep track, and it turns out he's not half bad at Moombah either.

New Porter Robinson & More

Porter Robinson

After a huge hit with "Paradize City", Evol Intent shows the trio knows how to do slow dub as well:

UNDER feat. Jackie B (clip) by Evol Intent

Off the same little EP as "How It Looks" (the thing is gold), Exponaut has a great song that a bit reminiscent of maybe Flux, but definitely Doctor P:

E621 by Exponaut

Finally, just a suggestion, Porter Robinson's new album "Spitfire", the first release off Sonny Moore's (Skrillex) record label OWSLA is now streaming on Grooveshark.  It has dub, it has Moombah, it has electro-house, its all quite nice.

Top 5 - August

Ok, well the Top 5 from August comes a while late, because I was without internet for a while, and Soundcloud revamped some of their stuff and it was super glitchy for a while. Enjoy:

1. I'm In Need - Savoy

I'm In Need (Original Mix) by Savoy
Probably the most massive dubstep song released in a while...and I didn't think Savoy even did dub.  Well I guess they do now, because people are gonna want more of this shit.

2. Raise Your Weapon (Madeon Remix) - Deadmau5 (Electro House)

deadmau5 - Raise Your Weapon (Madeon Remix) by ultrarecords
This remix was released ages ago, but it wasn't until recently that I started diggin Madeon a lot.  Dance-y and fun, great song.

3. Game Time - Zomboy (Dubstep)

Zomboy - Game Time by 1ReySon
Zomboy is a pretty new comer to the game, his "Game Time" EP was huge, absolutely blew up on Beatport, and rightfully so.  Peanut-Butter Jelly Time!

4. How It Looks - Boy Kid Cloud (Dubstep)

Boy Kid Cloud - How It Looks by ScareMusic
Rusko has been a fan of dropping this one.  Sounds sort of like one part Skrillex, one part, "Everyday" Netsky Remix.  Big fan all around.

5. Basscannon (Zomboy Remix) - Flux Pavillion (Dubstep)

Flux Pavilion - Bass Cannon (Zomboy Remix) by 1ReySon
Bass Cannon is a hard song to remix I would guess.  Its so epic already.  Zomboy blew up this month, and this was part of it.  Heard this song dropped in Skrillex sets, Nero sets, everyones sets.  Its like a fidget remix of the womp-tastic Bass Cannon.
::::::::

Honorable mention goes to Pink Lady by Feed Me. The song has been out for a while, but its just so nifty. With a beat slower than typical dubstep and a sound all it's own, Pink Lady has a style all her own.

Mr. Brown + How it Looks

Image Detail
Been pretty busy and dormant on the new music lately.  I had forgotten about an artist by the name of KOAN Sound until I heard he was one of three (along with Porter Robinson, and Alvin Risk) to be signed to Skrillex's new record label OWLSA.  You can hate on Skrillex for being mainstream or over the top as much as you want, but he probably couldn't have picked 3 better artists than those to start out with.  I mean Alvin Risk's "Diminishing Returns" is absolutely huge!  Anyways, you might have heard the song "Trouble in the West" by Koan Sound, but this ones just as good:

Koan Sound - Mr Brown (Original Mix) by S a i n t

And then theres a song from a fairly new-come-er to the scene: Boy Kid Cloud.  I haven't heard all that much from him, but his latest single is catchy:
Boy Kid Cloud - How It Looks by ScareMusic

Thats all for now folks.

Identity Fest

You probably heard about the Vans Warp Tour-esque, touring Electronic Festival, by the name of Identity Festival. Though not all artists appeared at each venue, most every city was graced with Nero, Steve Aoki, Kaskade, Disco Biscuit, Datsik and More. Some of the artists appearing at only a few shows were Rusko, Avicii, Skrillex, Pretty Lights and Afrojack. I caught the stop at Michigan, which didn't have any of these special acts sadly, but for 30$ this was a fun chance to get drunk and have some fun without all the hassle of traveling to a full blown festival. Here are some video highlights from the fest.

Best of "Welcome to Reality"

So Nero's new album, "Welcome to Reality" officially dropped 5 days ago, and after a few days of digesting the album, here are a few sleepers you may not heard of yet.

The 1st real song of the album (not counting 2808) slaps you in the face.  I had heard just about the entire album through various releases and leaks but that was definitely not one of them.  Doomsday for the win.

Next up on the underrated list is  their remix of 1986 pop song "Crush on You" by the Jets.  It starts off so poppy and dance-y, and so unexpectedly drops in screechy screechy dub.

Lastly, a song I posted up a while back but the Soundcloud embed got taken down, so here it is again, "My Eyes"
Nero - My Eyes by lesoteric

Of course the album is chock-full of essentials from Nero like Innocence, Me & You, Guilt, and the original mix of Promises (which despite its lack of media hype compared to Skrillex's, is pretty-effin good.) Well, if that doesn't convince you to go out and buy the album and support Joe and Steve, well probably just go download if for free somewhere, 'cause its worth it.

Mixed Bag

Alesso

Somewhere between trance, and electro-house, the hook on Craig Connelly's "Absolute Electric" is so smooth and pure
Craig Connelly - Absolute Electric by CraigConnelly

What dubstep DJ hasn't dropped this in their set recently?  It's a sort of Skrillex-esque remix, with a tinge of DnB and a bit of fidget.  Keep an eye on Zomboy, something tells me he'll be amassing a similar crowd to Skrillex's in the upcoming year.
Flux Pavilion - Bass Cannon (Zomboy Remix) by 1ReySon

And what electro-house DJ hasn't dropped this remix in their set either?  If you haven't heard it, stop being a loser.
Pressure - Nadia Ali (Alesso Remix) by Dan Shivers

Pretty old remix, but Feed Me's funky, trippy style never disappoints.

Quick Look @ Minnesota

Christian "Minnesota" Bauhofer seems like a pretty down to earth guy.  Hailing from SoCal, he studied at UCSC, and still has a somewhat reasonable number of friends on facebook, around 2,500.  Why the facebook stats?  Well it seems a name like Minnesota makes you somewhat hard to look up info on.  Wikipedia defines you only as a state in the Midwest, and most all other results are something to do with Minneapolis Dub.  What also makes him chill, is most of his remixes and original songs are up for download, legally, straight from him.  Well anyways, he's been on the scene for over 2 years, and I'm looking forward to new tunes from that dude.

I first heard Minnesota's remix of Adele's hit "Rolling in The Deep" at the beginning of the summer. I didn't think to much of it, until Mike Posner released a remix, and it was a "people like this version...they need to heard Minnesota's" moment.
Adele - Rolling in the Deep (DeathStar Remix feat MartyParty & Minnesota) by MartyParty

"Raining" by Kaskade and Adam K is a not a half bad song.  A few too many echoes of SHM's "One", so in a way, I do almost prefer Minnesota's remix:
Kaskade & Adam K - Raining (Minnesota RMX) by Minnesota

Not really his most "melodic" track, but Minnesota definitely has a thing for Hip-Hop:
Who Shot Ya? (Featuring Getter) RE-EDITED (Unsigned) by Minnesota

Nero's "Guilt" vs. Enrique's "Dirty Dancer"

The mainstream media strikes again, this time Nero is the victim.  If you remember a few weeks ago, Leona Lewis stole Avicii's Penguin/Fade to Darkness and sang over it, without acknowledging Tim Berg at all.  Luckily, I would like to think the crime is not as heinous; Enrique didn't steal the Nero's song, but moreso Nero's video.

"Dirty Dancer"

vs.

"Guilt"

Like I said, could be worse, but annoying nonetheless. Dislike.

Top 5 - July

Felt a bit more electro-house this July...

1. Let You Go (Feed Me Remix) - Chase & Status - Electro House
Chase & Status - Let You Go (Feed Me Remix) by youfeedme
I had listened to feed me for a while, but it wasn't until recently that I decided to really look through everything he's put out.  Feed Me has a few great remixes that seem to not really have caught on like his mainstream releases (Feed Me's Big Adventure & To the Stars EP).  His remix of Chase & Status' "Let You Go" is probably the best example of one of those songs.

2. Magic Trooper - Mord Fustang - Electro House
Mord Fustang - Magic Trooper by Mord Fustang
I'm starting to realize most of Mord Fustang's songs sound pretty damn similar.  I've also come to realize that doesn't affect how much I like or listen to them.  Magic Trooper was less of a dubstep beat than many of his songs, but retains that sugar-coated funky feel.

3. Save The World (Zedd Remix) - Swedish House Mafia
Save The World (Zedd Remix) by Absynth_mx
Yeah, the songs already popular, but for all the wrong reasons.  Zedd has a knack for quirky, sometimes nerdy electro-house bangers.  This one sounds like 1 pt Swedish House Mafia, 1pt Warp 1.9, and 1pt who knows where this analogy is going, just listen to it.

4. Innocence (Feed Me Remix) - Nero
Watch on YouTube HERE

When I first heard Nero's Innocence over a year ago, I knew they'd be around putting out good music for a good time to come.  I also thought innocence was akin to Mau5's "Strobe" and Afrojack's "Take Over Control" in that theyre impossible to remix without ruining the song, and certainly impossible to do better than the original.  I'm not going to say Feed Me's mix is better than the original, its just different, and simultaneously insanely good.  I dont really know what to classify it as, so once again, please just listen to it.

5.  Choose Me Pt. II - Xilent - Dubstep
16 - Xilent - Choose Me II by s3v
This song hit it big around 2 months ago, and its still such a good song.  It "goes hard" without sounding crude or chaotic.  Very tasteful Mr. Xilent.

Exam #2

I'm currently sitting in front of the computer, attempting to study for an exam I have tomorrow.  To give me a reason to procrastinate, here's a few songs:

Can't get enough Zedd lately...

Diddy - Dirty Money - Ass On The Floor (Zedd Remix) by Zedd

And since we're on the subject of P. Diddy...
Coming Home (Dirty South Mix) by $UBZER0°

Heard this song a long while back, and wasn't all that impressed, maybe it was the original by DJ Fresh? Either way, I was wrong, and this song is awesome.

DJ Fresh - Louder (Doctor P & Flux Pavilion Remix) by FilthSteps

Something tells me this Soundcloud link is going to be destroyed soon, so listen up while you can chillins.

How Catchy is Too Catchy?

Avicii's song "Penguin" has a really nice piano riff that repeated throughout the song.  Apparently too good, to the point where radio artist Leona Lewis may or may not have taken notice.  I mean, you check it out and give me your opinion:

And here is the mastered, final version of Penguin, renamed "Fade to Darkness"
Avicii - Fade Into Darkness (Vocal Mix) (Avitzi's Mastered Edit) by A.Vitzi

Eh, they're really not that similar, I change my mind, Leona must have composed this herself.

Quick Look @ Madeon

Madeon is getting a lot of cred in 2011.  He's a 17-year old French producer with already an official remix of Raise Your Weapon, as well as Pendulum's The Island.  He seems to be following somewhat in line with Mord Fustang and a lot of the newer artists putting out that sort of "glitch-pop-electro".

Also check out his song Shuriken, its dancey and quite catchy.

He just posted up this live mashup of a bunch of songs he's digging, including Starry Eyed, Around the World, Viva La Vida, what sounds like Ratatat's Wildcat growl, and more.  This isn't like those shitty mashups between Ghosts N Stuff, Like a G6 and some random Lil' Wayne you find nonstop on Hypem, its actually catchy and well done.

New Mord Fustang +More

Mord Fustang has been huge recently.  Lick the Rainbow, Milky Way, A New World, and now add Magic Trooper.  Check it out.

Rothbury is officially a week in the past, and I've been mulling over the music I heard there.  Here are two that stick out and are worth listening to:

Feed Me's remix of Nero's innocence:

Alvin Risk's remix of "Diminishing Returns":

And finally, there's a little song going around both XM, and your local pop radio station alike, it's called "Save the World Tonight" by Swedish House Mafia.  To be honest, the song seems like the mainstream music industry's next step towards incorporating the EDM sound and scene into something profitable and more widely accepted.  So no, I am not advocating you listen to this song, I am rather advocating you listen to Zedd's remix of it.  It still has the catchy Coldplay sounding vocals and such, but is just now way cooler.  Thanks for the swag Zedd.
