New Dillon Francis

Dillon Francis dropped a short new EP (3 tracks) "Something, Something, Awesome" on Skrillex's OWLSA label. All three tracks are Moombah. It's available on Beatport now, and hopefully will hit iTunes and other not-so-legit retailers soon.

On first listen, the Kill the Noise/Dillon Francis collab entitled "Dill The Noise" takes the cake as best track of the EP.

Feed Me's Escape from Electric Mountain

Jon Gooch, the legend and mastermind behind Spor and Feed Me, came out with a new EP today, entitled "Feed Me's Escape from Electric Mountain". I haven't fully digested it yet, but if its Feed Me, its worth checking out.  It includes a dub collab with Gemini, called "Whiskers" that is sick, a Moombah track
"One-Click Headshot" and a few House tracks as well.  Staying true to form, Feed Me doesn't stick to one genre, and instead kills them all, including an almost trance like track "Relocation" that morphs seamlessly into Blood Red.  Jon Gooch for president.

Quick Look @ Dillon Francis

Who is Dillon Francis and what does he do?

Well, Dillon Francis is a sort of a up-and-comer on the EDM scene, hailing from LA, and he does Moombah.  And he does it real well.  He seems like he should be a protege of Skrillex, seeing as how he's one of the only artists to be using those screechy and talking-bass sort of sounds as well as Sonny Moore himself.  The only difference, he sticks mostly to Moombahton and that funky 108-112 BPM range.  It's rad, and blowing up fast.  Mark my words, Moombah is the new Dubstep, and Dillon Francis is the new Skrillex.

Steve Aoki has a new track out ft. Rivers Cuomo of Weezer. It's pretty good....this versions better:

Calvin Harris - Feel So Close (Dillon Francis Remix) by DILLONFRANCIS

Time Takers - She Blows (The Whistle Tune) (Dillon Francis Remix) by Ministry of Sound

Peace, Love and Moombah ya'll

More Knife Party & Skrillex

So in the last few weeks Knife Party has exploded everywhere.  Knife Party is the side project of Pendulum, you know...the Island, and Rob Swire (from Ghosts N Stuff).  They pretty much do dubstep, and electro house, and absolutely kill every second of it.  So here's two new songs from them:

Another 'Crush On You' remix that gives the Killsonik version a run:
Nero - 'Crush' (Knife Party Remix) by pakistar
And this track featuring Skrillex is pretty golden too...
Knife Party ft. Skrillex - Zoology by MyDubstep
Finally, a track from Al Bizarre thats just catchy.

Gemini & Moombah

Gemini put out a few hits this past Spring, with "Blue" and "Stronger", and now his "Graduation" EP is coming out, and the womp keeps coming.  Once a full link is available, we'll put it up.

Aside from dubstep, I've been hearing an influx of Moombahton, and it's awesome.  Here are some to get your started from Munchi, Alvin Risk, and Tittsworth:

Datsik - Firepower (Munchi Moombahcore Rmx) by Munchi

Hope is much more mellow and less "party-esque", but the simplicity is addicting.

Munchi - Hope by Munchi

Alvin Risk is one of the first 3 DJs signed to Skrillex's OWSLA record label, which just released Porter Robinson's first full length album.  Alvin Risk's remix of "Diminishing Returns" is a huge dubstep track, and it turns out he's not half bad at Moombah either.

New Skrillex+Diplo = Amplifire

If you haven't heard the Moombhaton collaboration between Diplo and Mr. Skrillex, check it out.
