April Fool's Round-Up

Feed Me stopped by Michigan this April Fool's, and here are some of the new tunes Kill the Noise was dropping, particularly the new Zedd and Skrillex/12th Planet.

This song's been blowing up in EDM, getting remixed by tons of dubstep artists, and dropped in just as many artists' sets.

Deadmau5 put on a little event in Miami during ultra called Mau5hax.  Basically they live streamed Moguai, mau5, and Foreign Beggars putting a track together in a few hours.  It's a little under polished at this point, but a dope song nonetheless.

Mau5 Funk

deadmau5 doesn't collab much, if you're interested in his logic, check out his website.  But here's one he did a while ago with Cypress Hill, but never released.  Snagged it off his Soundcloud, its a funky bassy song, with some vocals and a chill vibe.  Check it out.

Free Treats

Get em while theyre hot. Skrillex's second edition of Free Treats came out today, and its full of sick tracks from a wide variety of artists, including Munchi, 12th Planet, Nick Thayer, KOAN Sound, and Alvin Risk.

So it's Monday, and everyone hates Mondays. So here's a collab track from Kill the Noise and Datsik on, of course, Skrillex's OWLSA label.

New Dillon Francis

Dillon Francis dropped a short new EP (3 tracks) "Something, Something, Awesome" on Skrillex's OWLSA label. All three tracks are Moombah. It's available on Beatport now, and hopefully will hit iTunes and other not-so-legit retailers soon.

On first listen, the Kill the Noise/Dillon Francis collab entitled "Dill The Noise" takes the cake as best track of the EP.

Feed Me's Escape from Electric Mountain

Jon Gooch, the legend and mastermind behind Spor and Feed Me, came out with a new EP today, entitled "Feed Me's Escape from Electric Mountain". I haven't fully digested it yet, but if its Feed Me, its worth checking out.  It includes a dub collab with Gemini, called "Whiskers" that is sick, a Moombah track
"One-Click Headshot" and a few House tracks as well.  Staying true to form, Feed Me doesn't stick to one genre, and instead kills them all, including an almost trance like track "Relocation" that morphs seamlessly into Blood Red.  Jon Gooch for president.

Somebody to Love

Rusko's first single off an upcoming album is here. Few things to note:

1. Song is catchy, wide appeal
2. Rusko's hair has reached a new level of grimey, and very horse-mane like.

So 2012...

Been dormant for a while.  So here's whats up in the New Year.  Bangarang EP is great, still listening to it, and though some songs could be better, a few are untouchable, Bangarang, Kyoto (tweaked up Ruffneck Bass), Right In, and of course, best of all Summit ft. Ellie Goulding.  The last is a sort of fuck you to Skrillex haters, and he shows again that he can make songs other than his typical style.  Summit is almost trance like, but gets backs to glitchy roots, while sticking to 140bpm.  Anyways, here's a few other songs I've been listening to:

Better Wipe That Up by Canofbass

And Chris Luzzly's Remix

Lazy Rich - Better Wipe That Up (Chrizz Luvly Remix) by MastersElite

And dude if you haven't heard the Swedish House vs. Knife Party song, Antidote, its huge.
