Post-Memorial Day Tunes: Remixes Galore

Fresh from Feed Me's lair, here's another track of his featuring Tasha Baxter, entitled Strange Behavior. Not quite as good as Cloudburn, his other tune with Ms. Baxter, but good nonetheless. Enjoy.

Jon Gooch

Before he was Feed Me, Jon Gooch he was Spor. He recently released an EP under his old moniker, which I'm a huge fan of. The original vocal mix traverses a sort of smooth-dub style, but the Kito remix ft. Reija Lee (check her out on Sweet Talk, also ft. Kito, and Run You Down,) is a totally different beast. It's not often that a remix outdoes an original here on the electronic scene, but Kito's mix is an exception; it's easily my favorite track of the month. Don't be expecting any chaotic synths or bassy dub, this one's slow and minimalist. Jon, more of this shit please.

Reija's voice vibes incredibly well on the slower tracks like Pacifica, but also incredibly well on harder dub tracks like this one from Phetsta:

Continuing on the heavier dubstep note, Deadmau5 released some remixes of Raise Your Weapon. If you're familiar with Noisia you can pretty much predict what's coming next with this track. Lots of punchy dub, but nothing too groundbreaking.

If it's not apparent by now, I'm a big fan of Feed Me/Spor. The Feed Me Remix of "Call Your Girlfriend" is hard to top, but it urns out Trance-Dance producer Kaskade (of whom I'm also a big fucking fan), as well as Sultan & Ned Shepard put out remixes of their own. Tough to top Feed Me's mix, but they're not half bad either:
